Deanna Palm
Washington County Chamber of Commerce President/CEO
I am writing this in my capacity as President of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, to wholeheartedly endorse Table Community Church in their endeavor to construct a new building on the land they have acquired in Hillsboro. Table Community Church has been a vital part of our community for over a decade and a Gold level Leading Investor with the Chamber, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to serving and enhancing our city and county.
Throughout their tenure, Table Community Church has consistently proven to be a force for positive change in our community. Their involvement extends beyond spiritual services, engaging in significant community events and initiatives that align with their mission to serve and uplift. A notable example of their dedication is their active participation in local events such as the Juneteenth celebration and the Latino Cultural Festival, where they not only contribute but also lead efforts to foster understanding and unity among our diverse population.
“Their expansion is not only a benefit to their congregation but to all of us who call Washington County home.”
Table Community Church has consistently demonstrated its role as a proactive partner, working alongside the community to improve the quality of life for all residents in our civic structure. Their efforts go beyond mere participation, showing a deep and genuine commitment to catalyzing positive change and supporting community welfare.
As they plan to expand their facilities, I believe this new building will not only enhance their capacity to serve but also stand as a testament to their long-term commitment to our community. It is with great respect and genuine support that I advocate for the realization of this project, which promises to bring further benefits to our region.
I join with other civic leaders in recognizing and supporting the positive impact Table Community Church has made—and continues to make—in our community. Their expansion is not only a benefit to their congregation but to all of us who call Washington County home.
Thank you for considering this endorsement of Table Community Church’s ongoing efforts and new initiatives.

I have been at TCC since they graciously adopted Westport Church into their family. Since the merge nearly 7 years ago, I have seen countless lives renewed, restored, and rewritten- including my own. We were never promised a life free from trial and error, but what we were promised was the gift of the Holy Spirit to walk alongside us in the day to day.
Through TCC, I have seen the Holy Spirit show up time and time again: in my community, He shows up through healthy, trustworthy, loving relationships- people who have provided my family with meals after bringing home a new baby. People who have prayed for me when I’ve been at a breaking point. People who graciously checked in on my family when they knew times were tough.
The Holy Spirit has shown up through the words of worship on a Sunday morning and through the teachings given by some of the most gifted pastors I know. He shows up in the children’s ministry, where He has carefully handpicked people to use their servant hearts to care for my anxious toddler.
“I cannot wait to see how the generosity of this church and the people in it continue to make an impact in Hillsboro and beyond!”
The Holy Spirit has shown up through the resources this church offers- when my marriage has needed help, there have been counselors willing to meet with my husband and I. When we have had questions regarding parenting, there have been family seminars that help us find the answers. When I’ve reached what felt like dead ends in life, there have been support groups that point me back in the right direction. He has shown up in the way my faith has become so much stronger since attending this church.
Oh, how I could go on… Just as the Holy Spirit has been so generous to me, I cannot wait to see how the generosity of this church and the people in it continue to make an impact in Hillsboro and beyond!

My husband and I, both in our 80s, have been part of Table Community Church for a little over five years, and we love the teaching, worship, and multi-generational fellowship here. Weekly we all are challenged to let God change and grow us, and there is clear, recognizable evidence that He is doing just that.
We’ve seen TCC’s young children bravely stand before the congregation, tell of their love for Jesus, their passion to live out their lives for Him, and be baptized. And, we’ve seen TCC’s teens joyously share how life-changing their short-term mission trip to Gan Sabra, India, was; how their heart’s desire now is to continue living and growing for Jesus.
“It is our heartfelt prayer that… we will continue to truly focus on knowing and following Jesus and that we’ll see many more lives changed for Him.”
Our own family has been blessed with what comes out of experiences like these. Our younger son accepted Jesus at age 4, soon after was baptized, and from then on followed Jesus until God took him home at age 36. Our older son, who is nearing retirement age, participated in short-term mission trips as a teenager, and has spent his entire working life in full-time ministry.
Along with visible spiritual growth, TCC has experienced amazing numerical growth, and it’s obvious we need a much larger meeting place. As we move forward with building, it is our heartfelt prayer that – like our current gathering place – our new space will also be unpretentious so that we will continue to truly focus on knowing and following Jesus and that we’ll see many more lives changed for Him.

The Lord led my family to TCC just a few months after the church had planted. We have seen God’s hand of provision, protection, and guidance through TCC over the past nine years in numerous ways. The church has played a central role in shepherding my relationship with the Lord as well as the rest of my family. It has stretched and grown our faith, especially as we’ve served and used our gifts and abilities for the benefit of the body.
“I am excited to see what God has in store for our people and our city as He continues to lead, move, and grow what He started at TCC.”
From the beginning it was obvious that the Lord was moving and doing something special, and we jumped in to support the church as community leaders. Community has provided support and friendship, not only for my husband and me, but also for our children. It has pushed them to be more generous and thoughtful toward others. Every week they look forward to seeing who is coming and what they’re bringing for dessert! Our community group and the leadership have also cared for us during difficult times, and we’ve been able to extend that support to others. The transformative power of the Gospel is preached weekly at TCC, because it is the heartbeat of the church. I am excited to see what God has in store for our people and our city as He continues to lead, move, and grow what He started at TCC.

Having moved around the U.S. and participated in over 15 different church communities at various times, we can honestly say Table Community Church is something special. We are so thankful for the humility of the leadership team to shepherd our local church family while acknowledging that they are walking alongside us on the same journey of sanctification. Our leadership team is fully committed to staying true to Scripture and has successfully cultivated a local church body that emulates the heart of the community originally established by Jesus’ disciples.
“…Not only are they sharing the Good News and feeding us spiritually, they are also equipping us to be the hands and feet of Jesus in meeting physical needs, both in our church family and in the community.”
At TCC, the Word is preached faithfully with attention to context and identifying practical action steps. They take care to be sensitive to those new to the faith as well as trying to disciple those who are father along in their faith journey. But not only are they sharing the Good News and feeding us spiritually, they are also equipping us to be the hands and feet of Jesus in meeting physical needs, both in our church family and in the community. We have been amazed at how God has provided for and through us and the number of inspiring stories of how God has worked in the lives of those who are being called by Him. We look forward with hope and joy to the continued growth of our church community as we continue making disciples in obedience to Christ.

We are so happy we found TCC when we moved to the area, and that we get to participate in God’s love within this special church family. We love TCC’s focus on supporting families to thrive, both inside of the church and in the Hillsboro area through programs like Safe Families. Everyone is welcome here, whether wholly devoted to Jesus, seeking answers, or even opposed to Christianity but willing to come.
“We love the ways that TCC cares deeply about the thriving of all people in our community, and the opportunities we have to show love to our neighbors.”
At TCC there is as much focus on helping people connect and live life together while following Jesus as there is about gathering on Sundays. We love the ways that TCC cares deeply about the thriving of all people in our community, and the opportunities we have to show love to our neighbors. We love TCC’s commitment to justice, mercy, and restoration in our community. We’re excited about the future of TCC, the superabundance of children and young families, and the full kids’ church classes on Sunday mornings. We hope and pray that in the years to come, our daughters will be two among many many children at TCC that can grow up in a loving church family where they learn tangibly to love Jesus, love each other, and love the community around them.”
